Over the years I could not help it but try to learn many different mediums. That often led me new adventures and also gave me the opportunity to join forces with different disciplines and techniques to create a new language to express myself. These are some of my adventures:
“Life unfolds regardless of our preconceived plans. In 2016, I encountered an unexpected predicament: my studio flooded, leaving me with no alternative workspace except my kitchen table. The central location of the table rendered my printmaking tools unusable. I had to revisit my capabilities and assess what I can accomplish solely using paper without ink.
My childhood experiences, particularly my passion for origami folding during my elementary school years, proved to be invaluable in this situation.
For this particular exhibition, I created a series of structural folds for an art installation entirely composed of printmaking paper. I was immensely gratified to rediscover my cherished passion for origami once again. I have always been captivated by the transformative power of paper. It has the ability to generate structure, an array of vibrant colors, and captivating shadow effects through its intricate folds. Since then, I’ve been experimenting with structural folds and have incorporated them into my artistic process.
