Artist Statement:

I focus on the cartography of personal metaphors. That not only gives me the opportunity to tell my story but also speaks to our human commonalities.
I like to record my memories, clinging to a time and a space. I observe myself and everything else change. While I am recording, literature, poetry and everyday objects become my fuel and inspiration to create these multi media work.
I am primarily a printmaker, but often find myself delving into other mediums to choose the right language.

As a Turkish-American, I was trained as an architect, that also lends an element of structure to my work.
