Revisiting Alice
I have been working on the Alice series since 2013, or I have been thinking about the story, comparing almost every facet of my life with it since then. I can’t help it but go back, again and again to Alice’s world to yet discover new ideas and capture different aspects of the story. I think this is turning into an obsession.
Going down the rabbit hole is a commonly used phrase in today’s art and literature, a metaphor referring to a state of confusion and chaos. I think, going down the rabbit hole is not only a chaotic state but also a route to self-realization and self-discovery.
Alice often asks this question to herself surprised by her frequent physical changes in size, “Who in the world am I?" but immediately adds, “Ah that is the great puzzle!”
