Throughout our lives we will each make hundreds or thousands of phone calls, send e-mails, text, post and who knows what else with the arrival of a new era, the Information Age. New terminology pops up every day to define our ever-so-changing way of communicating with one another and the rest of the world. The world seems like a small village with the internet. Following what is going on around us, around the world, socializing with one another as our highly edited personas on social media sure does feel like bliss from the comforts of our homes. Can these interactions be considered as real social interactions, does this really feel real? WHAT IS THERE LEFT, ONCE OUR HUMAN INTERACTIONS ARE STRIPPED OF A LOOK, A PLACE, AND TIME? Where does this take us as humans? I think this era not only connects us but will also redefine the meaning of solitude. Is this not being alone? Zeynep Banu Alev, 2014, Seattle
